Natural Gas and LPG installations

We hold GasSafe certification and our engineers are registered to undertake commercial gas pipework installations (up to 54mm copper or 2” iron pipework), installation testing, purging and commissioning for both natural gas and LPG. This includes core commercial, core commercial catering, commercial boilers, unvented water cylinders/vessels, equipment installation and commissioning (ComCat 1, 2 and 5).

We are also qualified to work on domestic gas installations.

Due to our range of qualification and experience, we can react to call-outs in areas such as plant rooms, where there may be an alarm situation. We have expertise and knowledge to identify if the fault is due to a natural gas leak, carbon monoxide escape, a gas alarm panel or gas sensor failure.

Following our diagnosis we aim to remedy the issue and reinstate the source gas supply in one attendance.

New Installations

We hold certification to design, supply and install new gas supply pipework installations. We are also qualified to test, purge and commission installations. This can include gas solenoid valve installation, lever isolation valves, test point and a range of gas appliances.

Our certification covers both commercial and domestic applications, natural gas and LPG.

Periodic Maintenance

We can undertake periodic testing of the gas installations and for a range of products. This includes for landlords safety checks/certificates, covering commercial and domestic applications, natural gas and LPG.

Gas Interlocks

We are able to design and install gas interlock systems in areas such as commercial kitchens, interlocking the gas supply to the extract system. This can incorporate the gas supply, a gas solenoid valve, emergency push off buttons, interlock control panel, current sensing or air pressure differential switch. The above products are designed and installed to link to the mechanical supply air and extract fan motors to the gas supply.

Other areas where we have installed gas interlocks for our clients are in areas boiler rooms, inter-linking a gas alarm panel to a gas solenoid valve, so that in the event of gases being detected, the alarm is raised and the gas supply is made safe (gas solenoid valve closed).

Carbon Dioxide Detection

We design, supply and install carbon dioxide monitoring in areas such as commercial kitchens and academic classrooms utilising gas fired apparatus. Whilst this is a “gas detection” application, due to our GasSafe registration, we can link in the monitoring equipment to the gas supply, install gas solenoids valves and provide a total installation package, avoiding the clients need to appoint or manage two or more contractors.
